Owner Participation - Woolwich
On this project, the homeowners actually designed the house on a paper napkin! Our in-house designer
took it from there and drew up the plans.
The home owner had the abilty to clear most of the lot himself,
and he and his wife could handle most of the finish work and painting.
So we coordinated
our efforts.
The result? ..........The house of their dreams with lots of "sweat equity" right out of the gate.
Here
is how we did it...................
We had a road put in so they access and clear the lot.
Once the lot was cleared, we prepped it for the foundation.
Then the foundation was poured and the fun begins.
We took care of the framing, and the instalation and "taping" of the wall board.
Notice that "blue
board" was installed in the kithen and bath areas.
Here is what the same rooms look like completed.
The homeowners did their own painting, while we built the custom kitchen
cabinets in our shop.
The pine flooring came from a local sawmill, and was installed by the homeowners. Then it was time for us to
install the cabinetry and fixtures.
The homeowners had a few ideas on how they wanted to "close in" the back deck.
So, we built the basic structure and roof system, (
left photo ) and they took it from there.
It was a win-win!
